I have been “wandering” the mountains, foothills and marshes
since soon after I learned to walk.
Many family trips then and now involve nature and wildlife.
I got my first SLR film camera, Canon FTB when I was about 14
and photography has been part of my life ever since.
Born and living in Northern Utah, I find myself surrounded with mountains, wildlife and distinct seasons all unique and different. Every outdoor adventure something new is seen and experienced.
Other than family, and now grandchildren, there is nothing much better in this life than spending several hours photographing a Grizzly Bear or having a Bull Elk sniff at your toe wondering what you are as you sit in camo among the bushes and rocks .
Adventure is sitting near a rookery of thousands of Egrets and Gulls or standing alone on a mountain top watching Mountain Goats.
Being a man of few words, I will let my photographs do the talking for me.
My photographs, hopefully, show my love of the outdoors, nature and Creation.
"I was there" taking the original photograph but my hope is that while looking at
the image it takes you back to that place with me to enjoy the moment as I did.
If your imagination takes you on a short trip through a memory,
if it brings back sights, smells and sounds,
that is my goal and, it is realized.
